This method will keep the puck sliding on surface and propels it further as it flexes when kicked. The puck has to be on a controlled state on the surface before passing and shooting, it can not be kicked out of the air or when rolling.

A Kick-in is when the puck goes out of bounds on the sidelines or behind the goal line and must be brought back into play. There are no corner kicks or penalty kicks in Hocker.

When a puck rests in the neutral area, only one player from the defending team can enter the neutral area to pass the puck. If a goal is scored, a referee or a defending player can retrieve the puck.

A player must shoot from outside the neutral area to score. When a goal is scored, players take up their line formation as at the beginning , and the team that scored kicks to the opponent side from their end line. The teams switch ends for the second half.

The team that had possession of the puck at the end of the half receives the puck. The puck must cross the center line to begin play.

One of the most basis rules of Hocker is that players can’t use their hands at all during play. This rule applies to all players on the court. Players must only use their feet, to play or block.

If at the end of regulation time the teams are tied, they will play sudden death. A 5 minute break is given. An extra 10 minutes of play will be added to the clock. If any team fails to score during that time, it is considered a tie.

The referee can call fouls when players break the rules of the game. Hocker is non-contact sport. A player can only kick and pass the puck with their feet or toes. Hands can only be used to place the puck when it goes out of bounds or in the net. A player can block a pass or shoot by using their feet, but cannot use their arms and hands or block a shot by laying down. A player must always keep an arms distance away from the player that has possession of the puck.
